Functional
Throughout the month of January, I was able to fully begin my new role as Vice President of Products in our Marketing department. We had a lot of changes in our department, and our main goal with having two new VPs and a new CMO was to keep everything running smoothly and functioning efficiently. This month, we encountered some financial issues with overspending on some items included in packages. In order to cut back on our spending, I went through each package with two department members that are both apart of my products team. Each day during January, I had to demonstrate effective and functional communication and leadership qualities in order to assure we would have all of our packages ready to go. The link below shows our new pricing for two of our packages, the Birthday Bash and our Man Cave Party (arriving soon). After we decided what was essential for each package, both were reduced down to a manufacturing cost of about $800. I would rate myself an 8/10 after going through the functional framework because all though in January I was able to complete an unforeseen task (pricing adjustments) with my products team, I could've done a little bit better job of delegating other work that needed to be done while also working on pricing. In the future, I plan to have everything written/typed out that needs to be done along with who's responsible for what.
